Darling Cake
Tonight’s blog post features cupcakes from DarlingCake, a one-woman company for most amazing cake creations, in Ithaca, NY.
If you have a minute, I suggest you open DarlingCake Facebook page and check it all out. The art of those cakes is beyond believable. DarlingCake owner Amy Gaines: pastry chef, pastry artist, hockey mom, businesswoman, awesome person. In the times like these, when big events and parties are being canceled or postponed, cake orders are often being canceled or postponed as well, so Amy came up with a genius idea: cupcake kits. Since many of us are staying at home, often with kids that do not have much to do, cupcake decorating might be a good fun activity, for big and small. You get a kit, open a box, six yummy cupcakes, two bags of frosting, also sprinkles, fudge, and the rest, decorate it all whichever way your heart desires, and have a cupcake for dessert. No baking or whipping needed, just easy sweet fun. Also, the cupcakes and the frosting are all super tasty, tried it myself – OMG! So, if you live in Ithaca area, get a kit, or two, or three, for yourself and maybe for a friend, and get creative.
